The Baltimore Ravens are coming off their first loss of the season.
They’ve been outscored by an average of 24.8 points in the first three games of the year.
They’re still in the midst of a six-game winning streak, but that has been more or less erased.
Quarterback Joe Fluker has been struggling, and it looks like he might not be able to stay on the field for a long time.
Baltimore is 3-5 on the season when Flukers offense struggles to produce points.
That was true for all three of the Ravens’ losses, and Flukery’s quarterback rating has dropped from 92.8 to 78.8.
He’s also been sacked a league-high six times.
That’s not good, but it’s not the end of the world.
This team needs Flukerman to be able do his job.
It’s not like he’s an MVP candidate, and he won’t be if his quarterback isn’t getting it done.
Baltimore has been outgained 527 yards to 536 in the air, and they’ve also scored only five touchdowns on the ground.
This is the worst rushing defense in the NFL, and the Ravens need Flukerm to be the guy.
They can’t afford to keep Flukerting until he’s able to find his rhythm, and that’s going to take time.
Flukergs best option is to make a run for a playoff spot.
That doesn’t sound like a great way to win, but the Ravens can make the playoffs without a quarterback who is struggling to get his job done.
